In 1988, Samoa Technologies ventured into the radio broadcasting field with KSBS-FM 92, Samoa first FM radio station, broadcasting initially from our original studio facilities in the village of Auto.  In 1992, Samoa Technologies constructed new radio broadcasting studios and facilities in the Pago Pago bay area (Faga’alu) where it continues to broadcast 7/24 today.

Samoa Technologies was formed in August 1984 as a telecommunications common carrier for mobile communication and paging services.  By 1985, Samoa Technologies had a customer base of over 3,500 end users on its voice and data paging service system.

In 1991, Samoa Technologies acquired the satellite earth station assets and facilities of COMSAT Communications, a company owned by Lockhead Martin.  The satellite facilities provided the only commercial communication means for connecting American Samoa to the outside world.

Founded in Pago Pago, American Samoa in 1984
